A series of conversations and film-philosophical reflections on film and death.

The series brings together conversations with filmmakers and other cinema practitioners with short critical reflections on films that offer different ways of thinking about death, mortality, memory, and time.

Each episode has two parts:

THE CONVERSATION

Conversations with filmmakers about their work, their approaches to cinema, and the ways questions of death and time emerge through film.

A FILM TO THINK DEATH WITH

A film-philosophical reflection accompanying each conversation. Drawing on film criticism and film theory, these texts explore how films engage with death and time through narrative, editing, images, form, and concepts.
